Chart time line of AG Bell - The Aeronautical Exploration Years available for research (in PDF format)

Francis Rogallo - Inventor of Rogallo Flexible Wing Kite and Father of Hang Gliding.  An additional note revision at the end of the Rogallo article includes the development of the controllable frame beneath the wing developed by John Dickenson of Australia in 1963. [Updated Dec. 10, 2022]

REVISED - Ver 2.1 of the "Timeline of Kite History" contains a chronological listing of significant events in kite history in both table and graphical format. The historical time line is divided into three sections:  Prehistory (1500 AD) to 1800;  1800 to 1900;  and  1900 to the Present.
